The Belper Rover
The Belper Rover is a multi-terrain race held in a circular format, covering a distance of 30 km. The event is staged under UK Athletics (UKA) rules and utilizes chip timing to record participant results. The course is fully signposted and traverses a variety of surfaces, including footpaths, bridleways, public roads, and sections of the Midshires Way.
The route passes through diverse landscapes such as farmland, ancient woodland, and historical Roman roads. Due to the specific nature of the terrain, which includes narrow paths, the event is not accessible for wheelchair users. Dogs are also prohibited from the course. Participation is open to both runners and walkers, with a minimum age requirement of 18 years.
The field is limited to a maximum of 300 entrants. Registration categories include both affiliated and unattached options. Participants must collect their race numbers from the race headquarters located at Belper Meadows Sports Club on the morning of the event. All individuals who complete the course receive a medal and a memento.
