Eccles Pike Fell Race

The Eccles Pike Fell Race, organized by Goyt Valley Striders, is one of the oldest fell races in the UK, boasting a history of over 100 years. This challenging race covers a distance of 3.4 miles with a climb of 815 feet, classified as Category AS by the FRA. The event is known for its tough terrain and demanding conditions.

In 2024, the race contributed £550 each to Mountain Rescue search dogs and the local Air Ambulance. The race takes place at the Bugsworth War Memorial Club, conveniently located near the start.
