The Eccles Pike Fell Race is a short fell race with a history extending over 100 years. The course covers 3.4 miles (5.5 km) and includes 901 ft (275 m) of ascent. The event is listed in category AS.
Race headquarters are at the Bugsworth War Memorial Club, close to the race start and finish. The location is given as Station Road, SK23 7NJ. Parking notes state that parking at the Navigation Inn may require payment even though the pub is closed and the APNR camera has been removed; a payment machine remains. A large car park at Tesco is about 1 km away on the canal. Additional parking will be available on the day and final details are provided in a race brief sent to entrants.
Entry is handled online with an entry fee of £10.00 and a £1.00 discount for FRA members. Entries have sold out in the past and on-the-day entry is unlikely. Numbers are collected on the day.
The organiser is Goyt Valley Striders. Refunds or cancellations are issued at the organiser’s discretion and booking fees charged by third parties are not refunded. Transfers and deferrals are normally permitted up to 48 hours prior to the event.
