Event Overview
The Lighthouse 5k Series takes place at the Whalehead Club in Corolla, North Carolina. This event marks the 16th annual running of the series. Two race distances are offered: a 5k and a 1 mile.
Venue & Registration
The start and finish line is in front of the Historic Mansion at the Whalehead Club, located at 1100 Club Road within the Historic Corolla Park. On the morning of the event, walk-up registration and packet pickup are available from 6:50 AM to 7:50 AM at the start line. The venue has ample parking and onsite restrooms.
What's Included & Awards
All entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion, and chip timing. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, the first-place male and female master runners (over 40), and the first-place male and female youth runners (14 & under).
Course Details
The course goes through the Historic Village of Corolla Light. Participants can see sights like the Whalehead Club, Corolla Light Resort, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse along the route.
