Lighthouse 5k Series
The Lighthouse 5k Series returns for its 16th annual running in Corolla, North Carolina. This event takes place at The Whalehead Club, located within the Historic Corolla Park. The course leads participants through the Historic Village of Corolla Light, offering views of the Northern Outer Banks, including the Whalehead Club, Corolla Light, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5k
- 1 Mile
The event is open to runners, walkers, and strollers. Service dogs are permitted on the course, but other pets are not allowed. The start and finish lines are situated in front of the historic mansion at The Whalehead Club. Onsite facilities include restrooms and a parking area for attendees.
All registered participants receive an event t-shirt and a finisher medallion. The races are professionally chip-timed. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the first-place finishers in the Masters (over 40) and Youth (14 and under) categories.
