Lighthouse 5k Series
The Lighthouse 5k Series is an annual road running event held at The Whalehead Club in Corolla, North Carolina, in Historic Corolla Park. The 2026 edition marks the event's 16th year and includes both a short and a standard distance race.

Walk-up registration and pre-registered packet pickup are available race morning at the start line. Parking and restrooms are available onsite. All entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion and chip timing.
The course tours the Historic Village of Corolla Light and passes local landmarks including the Whalehead Club, Corolla Light resort and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. The start and finish are located in front of the Historic Mansion at the Whalehead Club.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, the first place masters male and female (over 40), and the first place youth male and female (14 and under). The event is described as family friendly and is walker and stroller friendly. Service dogs are allowed and other pets are not permitted. Registration fees listed are Adult $45 and Youth 17 and under $40. Each event supports local charities and major credit cards are accepted.
