Let Your Imagination Run 5k/1k : Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
Let Your Imagination Run is a community running event held in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The event is organized by For A Good Koss, a 501(c)(3) organization established to honor an individual and to support opportunities for children to learn in diverse ways. This is the fourth edition of the Let Your Imagination Run series and it coincides with the tenth anniversary of that individual’s passing.
Both the 5k and the children's 1k start and finish at the Pioneer Log Cabin. A post race celebration with refreshments, prizes, and a raffle is planned at the Pioneer Log Cabin Picnic Area. Prizes are awarded to the fastest finishers in the All Ages 5k, and all participants are entered automatically into the raffle.
Registration closes Friday, August 28, 2026. Entry fees before August 2 are Children's 1k $25 and All Ages 5k $40; fees on or after August 2 are Children's 1k $30 and All Ages 5k $45. A 15% discount applies for teams of four or more paying participants. Proceeds from the event are directed to music scholarships and community education events administered by For A Good Koss.
Parking access near the start and finish is limited because a Sunday road closure extends up Blue Heron Lake Drive. The closest vehicle access is the Blue Heron Lake Boathouse, from which the Pioneer Log Cabin Picnic Area is a short walk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
