Baldydash

Baldydash 2026

Baldydash is a community event in San Anselmo that combines a run, hike, or walk up and down Bald Hill. The third annual edition takes place on August 29, 2026, with a new start location at Robson House and a finish at Imagination Park during Live on the Avenue.

The route covers 4.75 miles with approximately 1,200 feet of elevation gain on steep trail terrain. Participants may run, hike, or walk the course; the route is now more clearly marked with mapping support. Organizers describe a mix of new and returning sponsors, fresh merchandise, additional nonprofit beneficiaries, possible childcare, and official endorsement from the town of San Anselmo.

After covering the costs of participant swag, remaining registration proceeds will support Live on the Avenue and The YES Foundation. T shirt availability is guaranteed for those who register by July 29; all participants receive a race t shirt and other swag at the finish. Event timing is informal and finishes are not tracked officially; the event highlights a lighthearted prize for the participant who finishes exactly in the middle, called The Averager.
