Lester Fun Run
The Lester Fun Run is a family-friendly event at 236 Indianapolis St, Downers Grove, IL 60515. It features a 1 mile run/walk and a 5K race and serves as one of two flagship fundraising initiatives for the Lester PTA. Over 35% of the PTA programming budget is generated by the Fun Run and associated activities such as experiences, raffles, and silent auctions. The event has a fundraising goal of $25,000 to be reinvested into PTA programs and activities that benefit Lester students.

Registration opens July 28, 2026. Register by midnight on September 5 to be guaranteed a T-shirt. Race timing bibs and T-shirts will be distributed to classrooms during the week of September 22. Participants who plan to run both the 1 mile and the 5K must register separately for each event and will receive a separate timing bib for each race. Questions may be directed to the race director.
