Lester Fun Run 2026
Lester Fun Run is a family friendly 1 mile run/walk and 5K race on September 27, 2026 in Downers Grove, Illinois at 236 Indianapolis St, 60515. The event is organized by the Lester PTA as a fundraising activity.
The Fun Run generates over 35 percent of the PTA programming budget. The fundraising goal for 2026 is $25,000; funds are reinvested into PTA programs and activities that benefit Lester students.

- 5K Adults
- 5K Youth
- 1 Mile
- 1 Mile LESTER STAFF ONLY
- 5K LESTER STAFF ONLY
- Purchase T shirt only (youth $12 adult $17)
Registration opens July 28, 2026. Registration fees vary by event; example fees in the entry list include $25 for the 5K Adults, $20 for 5K Youth, $11 for the 1 Mile, and $6 for staff only entries. Register by midnight on September 4 to be guaranteed a T shirt. Run only registration remains available up to race day.
Participants who want to enter both the 1 mile and the 5K must register for each race separately. Each registered race receives a separate timing bib. Race timing bibs and T shirts will be distributed to classrooms during the week of September 21. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
