Event Overview
The Lester Fun Run 2025 is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Downers Grove, Illinois, at 236 Indianapolis St. It is a family-friendly run/walk event.
Event Details
The event is one of two primary fundraising initiatives for the Lester PTA. Over 35% of the PTA's programming budget is generated by the Fun Run and its surrounding activities, which can include experiences, raffles, and silent auctions. This year's fundraising goal is $25,000, which will be reinvested into PTA programs and activities for Lester students.

- 1 Mile
- 5K Youth
- 1 Mile Lester Staff Only
- 5K Lester Staff Only
- Purchase Tshirt Only
Separate registration is required for each race if a participant wants to run both the 5K and the 1 Mile events; each registration comes with a separate timing bib. Registration for the run-only option is available until the race start time. Participants who register by midnight on September 5th are guaranteed a T-shirt. Race timing bibs and T-shirts are distributed to classrooms during the week of September 22nd.
