Leprechaun Run
The third annual Leprechaun Run is a community athletic event held in Lake Helen, Florida. Organized by the American Legion Post 127, this race is designed as a fun run to support and celebrate local military veterans and their families. The event proceeds contribute to runner amenities and the various veteran support programs managed by the Post throughout the year.
The event features the following distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5K Run/Walk)
- Free Kids Run
Participants in the 3.1 Miles event receive a custom logo shirt and a finisher medal. While this is a fun run without chip timing or specific age group awards, there is an awards ceremony to recognize the top three male and top three female finishers. Younger participants in the kids run receive a ribbon upon completion.
Post-race amenities include complimentary pancakes for all participants and beer for those of legal drinking age. Packet pick-up is available at the American Legion Post 127 in the days leading up to the race as well as on the morning of the event. Off-site parking is located at Ivy Hawn Charter School on South Lakeview Drive. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
