Event overview
The Leicester 10K takes place on Sunday 01 March 2026 with a city centre start and finish at Jubilee Square. The event is organised as a charity road run and entrants must be 15 years or older on event day. The route leaves the city centre, goes through Victoria Park, passes the University of Leicester and runs by city landmarks including Leicester Museum & Art Gallery and Leicester Cathedral before returning to Jubilee Square. Entry includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag and an exclusive finisher’s medal; there is an option to purchase a technical finisher t-shirt and have the medal engraved with iTAB. Race numbers are issued by collection only.
On the day information
An Event Village will offer food and drink for purchase and host partner charities. Baggage can be left in the designated Baggage Store using the tear-off strip on the race number. Water stations on course provide 330 ml screw-top bottles and have recycling bins; exact locations are shown on the route map. Pacers with flagged finish times, sponsored by Arla Protein, will be on course. Toilets are provided around the stadium and the organiser operates a zero-tolerance policy for public urination. Medical teams and fixed first aid stations are positioned near water stations, with a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish and roaming first aiders in the Event Village. MarathonPhotos will photograph the event and results will be published on the event website after the race.
