Event overview
The Leicester 10K takes place on Sunday 01 March 2026 and is a 10K road race with a city centre start and finish at Jubilee Square. The route runs into the city centre, passes through Victoria Park and the University of Leicester, and goes by landmarks such as Leicester Museum & Art Gallery and Leicester Cathedral before returning to Jubilee Square.
Participation and logistics
Entrants must be 15 years or older on event day. Race numbers are collection-only and runners must not allow others to run under their number. The event includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag and an exclusive finisher’s medal, with an option to purchase a technical finisher t-shirt and to engrave the medal with iTAB. On-course provisions include water stations supplying 330 ml screw-top bottles and recycling bins, pacers with finish-time flags sponsored by Arla Protein, allocated toilets around the stadium, and fixed first aid stations near water stations plus a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish. Baggage may be left in the designated Baggage Store using the tear-off strip from the race number. Event Village food and drink will be available for purchase, partner charities will be present, and MarathonPhotos will take photographs on course. Results will be posted on the event website after the race. Travel and parking recommendations include nearby car parks, Leicester Railway Station about an 18-minute walk, and Haymarket Bus Station about a 10-minute walk.
