Watermead Challenge 2026
The Rotary Club of the Wreake Valley presents the 16th running of the Watermead Challenge on Tuesday, 7 July 2026. The event features a chip-timed five mile race held entirely within Watermead Country Park North.
The course uses traffic free tarmac paths and has been officially measured. The five mile race is chip timed from start to finish. A separate fun run of approximately three miles will also take place; the fun run is not timed and results will not be published.

- 5 mile - flat, road / pavement
- 3 mile (approx) fun run - untimed, results not published
Prizes and awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the five mile event. All finishers in the five mile race will receive a medal; fun run finishers will also receive a medal.
Entry limits and conditions: the five mile event is limited to 550 places and the fun run to 50 places. Entries close on 27/06/2026 and transfers are permitted up to that date. No refunds or deferrals are offered except that, in the event of cancellation by the organisers, entrants will be offered a refund, deferral, or the option to donate their fee to the event charities.
Age and fees: entrants must be 15 or over on race day for the five mile. Fun run minimum age is 6; under 11s must be in arms length of an adult. Prices listed include five mile (Affiliated) £22.00, five mile (Unattached) £23.00, and Fun Run £12.00. The organiser is the Rotary Club of the Wreake Valley.
