Lutterworth 5 Miler
The Lutterworth 5 Miler is a single-lap road race held in Leicestershire. The event follows a route consisting of quiet country lanes, characterized as a fairly flat rural course. The race is measured and certified with an EA license, and participants are timed using chip timing technology.
The event starts and finishes at the Lutterworth Rugby Club in Bitteswell. On-site facilities include male and female changing rooms and toilets. Parking is available at the Rugby Club, and the organizers encourage car sharing among participants. Runners are required to collect their race numbers on the morning of the event at the venue.
Safety measures include the presence of qualified first aiders both on the course and at the start and finish areas. A sweep vehicle is provided to collect participants who are unable to complete the course within the two-hour cut-off period. Under UK Athletics Rules of Competition, only bone conduction sports headphones are permitted for use during the race.
All participants receive a medal upon completion. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, trophies are presented to the first-place finishers in various age categories, including Under 18, V40, V50, and V60 for both men and women.
