Beat The Sunset 5K Road Race
The Beat The Sunset 5K Road Race is a one-lap, closed-roads 5 kilometre event through the Northamptonshire countryside held on Sunday 26 July 2026. The course starts and finishes at Targetcraft Archery, West Lodge Rural Centre, Desborough, Kettering NN14 2SH and uses Back Lane and surrounding roads.
The route includes a fast 700 m downhill section to the finish and overall elevation changes of +67 and -101 feet. There is no water station on the course; bottled water will be available at the finish and organisers note that bottles should be recycled. Free parking is provided at the venue and toilet facilities are available at Targetcraft Archery.
Prizes are awarded to the first, second and third male and female competitors. The event has attracted club and unaffiliated runners in previous years; in 2025 it welcomed representatives from 26 clubs and 130 unaffiliated runners. The event was created by Desborough Races and was taken over by GoBeyondSport in 2023.
