Event overview
The Legless 5K Beer Challenge is scheduled for May 2026 at Bowdon Rugby Club. The main course is a 5 km route made of two laps of a 2.5 km circuit that runs through fields, woodland and paths. Drinks are provided at stations approximately every kilometre; available options include beer, water, cider, Prosecco and wine. Participants are permitted up to five drinks during the run. Inflatable and non-inflatable obstacles are placed on the course, including a tyre run, walk-the-line section, hay bales, an inflatable course and a crawler. Participants must be 18 or older; ID will be checked at registration.
Logistics and facilities
The event offers free onsite parking and the nearest train and tram stations (Altrincham and Hale) are under a 10-minute drive. A first aid team and marshals in high-visibility clothing will be on site, and there is access to all areas of the course in case of emergency.
