Leeds Canal Side Run
The Leeds Canal Side Run is a series of races that start at Granary Wharf in Leeds and follow the Leeds Liverpool Canal towpath through Kirkstall and beyond. The course is an out and back route on a flat, good trail towpath and is fully marshalled.
Aid and drink stations are provided at approximately three mile intervals and the event operates cup less to reduce waste, so runners are asked to bring a reusable bottle or cup. Race bibs are collected on the day at registration, which is located close to the canal and alongside toilet facilities.
Events are licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules. The organiser provides a bespoke finisher medal and finishline refreshments. There may be unmarshalled road crossings on the route; marshals are positioned along the course and runners should inform the nearest marshal if they are injured or wish to retire.
There is no parking at the start and finish area; city centre car parks are within walking distance and car sharing is recommended. Headphone policy restricts large over ear headphones for safety, while bone conduction or single ear use is permitted. Transfers and deferrals are managed via the organiser and deferrals are permitted up to seven days before the event.
