Leaser Lake 5K Trail Race
The event is held at Leaser Lake on the western side near 8500 Follweiler Court, Kempton, PA. It is sponsored by the Kempton Lions Club and takes place on trails around the lake with the start and finish at the west side pavilion near the accessible canoe and kayak launch.
The program includes a trail 5K run and walk, a separate 2K scenic walk along the west shoreline that is not timed, and a short kids fun run of about 0.3K. The course uses the pavilion and western parking area, crosses the bridge over the dam, follows trails on the eastern side, and returns to the pavilion finish area. Finish line timing and results are provided by Pretzel City Sports and will be posted online. Mile markers for 1, 2, and 3 miles are placed on course.
Awards for the 5K are presented for overall male and female finishers and for the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
Online registration is available and closes on October 7. Early registrants by September 23 are eligible for a T shirt or a water bottle while supplies last. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
