Event Overview
The LeaLea Charity Run is a 5K event in its tenth edition, returning for the first time in six years. It takes place at Magic Island in Honolulu. The event is open to participants aged 7 and older.
Course & Location
The course is a simple loop around Ala Moana Beach Park. The event is based at Magic Island on Ala Moana Boulevard.
Registration & Charity
A special reduced registration fee is available for students under 21 years old. A further discount applies to student groups of 10 or more. The entire entry fee from this year's event will be donated to the Waikiki Aquarium to support an upgrade to its Edge of the Reef exhibit.
Awards & Activities
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in 10-year age groups from 10 to 70 years old. Prizes for overall winners include items such as hotel stays and restaurant dinners. All registered runners receive a sports towel. Refreshments are provided for finishers. After the race, there is an optional voluntary beach cleanup activity at Ala Moana Beach Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
