Last Dot Standing and 24/48 Hour by Ten Junk Miles
The event is based at Belleville Community Park in Belleville, WI, and uses a course between the park and Dot's Tavern, a 70 year old tavern located just off the trail. The Last Dot Standing format consists of alternating one hour legs of 4.2 miles each way between Belleville and Dot's Tavern. Runners have one hour to complete each leg and the hour restarts on the hour from the current location; the event continues until a single runner remains.
Parallel multi hour events use the same out and back course. The race program includes two 24 hour races and a 48 hour race, plus separate eight hour day and eight hour night events. Runners in the multi hour events can accumulate distance on the course; finishers who complete 100, 150, or 200 miles receive a finisher buckle. Special prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in the 24 hour and 48 hour races.
Prize structure for the Last Dot Standing contest includes a base award for the overall last person standing and designated awards for the last woman and last man standing. The competitive prize pot is derived from a percentage of registration fees and has no stated cap.
A registration deadline is listed for early race swag and finisher awards. A registration discount is available for active military, veterans and first responders through the race organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
