Last Dot Standing and 24/48 Hour by Ten Junk Miles
This event takes place at Belleville Community Park in Belleville, WI, and uses a point-to-point route between the park and Dot's Tavern. The Last Dot Standing format alternates hourly between the two locations. Each leg is 4.2 miles one way and participants have one hour to complete each leg. Rounds continue, alternating Belleville to Dot's and Dot's to Belleville, until a single participant remains.
The same course also hosts timed endurance races on the same route. The program includes 24 hour races (with different start days), a 48 hour race, and two 8 hour events. Runners in the timed events compete for distance-based awards and finishing recognition.
Prize structure for the last person standing event is defined by a base prize plus a registration fee pot. The base prize for the overall last person standing is the greater of $500 or 50% of the pot. The last woman standing and last man standing each receive the greater of $250 or 25% of the pot. The pot equals 25% of all registration fees collected and has no cap.
Finishers who reach high mileage thresholds receive buckle awards, and special prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in the 24 hour and 48 hour races. The organizer offers a registration discount for active military, veterans, and first responders. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
