Last Dot Standing and 24/48 Hour events in Belleville WI
This event weekend takes place in Belleville Community Park, Belleville, WI, and uses a marked route between the park and Dot's Tavern. The Last Dot Standing format requires runners to cover 4.2 miles each hour, alternating direction between Belleville and Dot's Tavern, with one hour to complete each leg. The sequence repeats every hour until one competitor remains.
The weekend also includes timed events that use the same course: a 48 hour race and two 24 hour races with separate starts, plus shorter 8 hour sessions on Saturday. Runners in the timed races can accumulate distance on the loop; finishers who complete long distance totals receive awards.
Prizes for the Last Dot Standing event include a base prize equal to the greater of $500 or 50 percent of the pot for the overall last person standing, and base prizes equal to the greater of $250 or 25 percent of the pot for the last woman and the last man standing. The pot equals 25 percent of registration fees for the last person standing event and has no cap. Special prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in the 24 hour and 48 hour races. Runners who reach 100, 150, or 200 miles receive finishers buckles.
A discount on registration is offered for active military, veterans, and first responders. Registration closes September 1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
