Lansing Juneteenth 5k Run/Walk/Roll
The Lansing Juneteenth 5k Run/Walk/Roll is the fourth annual Juneteenth event in Lansing, scheduled for June 19, 2026, at Benjamin Davis Park, 5500 Pleasant Grove Rd., Lansing, MI 48915. The event is organized with involvement from the Lansing Area Track Club and Run Tha City 517.
The event is a 5k (3.1 miles) run/walk/roll. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. The course follows a route through Davis Park. Teams may be created so groups can complete the route together; the largest team created receives a first place trophy before the race.
Packet pickup is set for June 18 at Schmidt Community Center and there is race day packet pickup at Benjamin Davis Park. During packet pickup participants receive a race t-shirt and bib.
Pricing and t-shirt guarantee dates are specified: $35 until March 31 (t-shirt guaranteed), $40 from April 1 until June 5 (t-shirt guaranteed), $45 from June 6 until June 19 (t-shirt size not guaranteed), and $50 on race day (t-shirt not guaranteed). Team pricing requires four or more registered team members to qualify for a $5 per person discount; refunds are handled automatically when a team reaches four members.
Awards are given to top finishers in age groups ranging from 12 and under through 80 and over. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be posted live after the event. Proceeds support the Juneteenth 5k and the Lansing Area Track Club, with funds used for scholarships, equipment, and travel for youth athletes.
