Land of the Free 5K
Land of the Free 5K is scheduled for June 27, 2026 at Shaker Woods Festival grounds in Columbiana, Ohio. The event is organized by GCXC Racing and uses the festival grounds as the start and finish location. The 5K course is an out and back road route closed to traffic with volunteers along the route and water stops provided. Packet pick-up and race day registration take place on site. Free parking is available on site.
Distances offered:
- 0.5 Miles: Kids Fun Run for ages 14 and under
- 5K: Run, Walk and Virtual 5K options
Chip timing is provided by GCXC Racing - Youngstown for the Kids Fun Run and the 5K events. Registration items vary by event: Kids Fun Run registrations include a participation medal, party glasses, a chip-timed bib number and an optional t-shirt. 5K registrations include a commemorative finisher medal, a patriotic t-shirt, party glasses and a chip-timed bib number. Optional tank tops are available.
Gates at Shaker Woods reopen in the afternoon for food trucks, entertainment and free fireworks as part of Columbiana's observation of the 250th birthday of America. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
