Land of the Free 5K - Columbiana, Ohio
GCXC Racing organizes the fourth annual Land of the Free 5K & Kids Fun Run on June 27, 2026. The event program includes a Kids Fun Run, a 5K Run, a 5K Walk, and a Virtual 5K. Both the in-person races start and finish at the Shaker Woods Festival grounds, located at 219 St. Rt. 7, Columbiana, Ohio 44408.
The 5K uses an out-and-back road course that is closed to traffic for the event and staffed by volunteers. Water stops are provided along the course. Both in-person races are chip timed by GCXC Racing - Youngstown. The kids fun run takes place within the festival grounds.
On-course and participant amenities include free parking on site, participation and finisher medals, commemorative patriotic t-shirts for 5K registrants, and custom chip-timed bib numbers. Registration items for the Kids Fun Run include a participation medal and optional t-shirt. Optional tank tops are also available.
After the daytime events, food trucks, entertainment, and a free fireworks presentation are planned in the evening to coincide with Columbiana's celebration of America's 250th birthday. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
