Struthers School Foundation 4th of July Parade 5K and Kids Pizza Run
This event features a community 5K held on the Struthers parade route and a children’s fun run on the same route. The 5K begins at the corner of 5th Street and Rita Drive near Pizza Joe's. Pizza Joe's will provide pizza for participants after the races.
Registration details are set for the 2026 event year. Standard entry fees apply for nonstudent participants. Enrolled Struthers City School students may register free if a registration form is submitted to the Board of Education office before June 30, 2026. T-shirt availability is tied to registration timing; shirts may not be available for registrations made after July 1, 2026. Registration opens February 5, 2026 and closes July 4, 2026.
The kids fun run is presented in memory of a longtime community volunteer who promoted children’s fitness and school programs. The event aims to combine a neighborhood parade setting with family-oriented running activities.
The Struthers School Foundation organizes the event as part of its broader mission. The foundation is a nonprofit incorporated in Ohio that funds extended educational activities not supplied by the school district.
