Struthers School Foundation 4th of July Parade 5K and Kids Fun Run
This event on July 4, 2026, in Struthers, Ohio, includes a 5K road run and a short children's fun run. Both events start at the corner of 5th Street and Rita Drive and take place along the Struthers parade route; participants may remain for the parade afterward.
Registration details are provided for each event. Standard entry fees listed are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the kids fun run. Enrolled Struthers City School students who submit a registration form to the Board of Education before June 30, 2026, receive free entry. Entries submitted before July 1 have a greater chance of receiving a participant shirt; shirts and medals may not be available for registrations made after July 1.
The 5K will be chip timed by GCXC Racing Youngstown. The kids fun run covers roughly 805 meters and follows a route north to the Struthers Middle School and back to the start. The kids run is presented in memory of a local resident who supported youth programs and physical fitness.
The Struthers School Foundation is a nonprofit established to provide funds for extended educational activities not provided by the school district. Contributions have supported supplemental reading materials, computer equipment, and other items for students, and the foundation has awarded over $100,000 in grants since 2003.
