Point 5K (0.5K) to benefit Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley
The Point 5K is a short walk/run of 0.5K (1,640 feet) held at White House Fruit Farm in Canfield, Ohio on Saturday, July 10, 2027. The course winds around the farm grounds and a pond on grass and includes a complimentary donut stop about halfway. Participants receive a Point 5K sticker cling and a White House donut with registration.
The event supports the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, which provides nightly shelter for up to 186 people and daily meals for many others. Registration costs $5 per person; children 10 and under participate free.
This is an untimed, noncompetitive event with no timing chips or medals. Amenities listed for the event include a selfie station, a complimentary hydration station, and free on-site parking. The route is an outdoor grass path with some roots; it is mostly accessible for strollers and wheelchairs when the ground is hard and dry, but conditions can affect accessibility. Pets are not allowed on the farm; service animals are permitted in accordance with ADA guidelines.
Participants are advised to wear footwear appropriate for farm terrain and to consider weather and ground conditions when planning to use strollers or wheelchairs. The event emphasizes a short, family-oriented experience on the farm while raising funds for local shelter and meal programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
