Event overview
Lakeland Paws: Dogs @ Dodd Double Header takes place on Saturday 9 May 2026 at Dodd Wood (Ca124Qe). It is the first event in the finale weekend of the 4th Lakeland Paws series and forms part of a double header; a related event is scheduled for Sunday 10 May at Whinlatter. Entries open 25 July 2025 and close 8 May 2026. The minimum age to enter is 16. The entry fee is £19.00.
Course and race details
The course is a mix of forest roads and trails and will be fully marked. The event is chip timed and GPX files are available to download. Two course options are offered:
- 8K loop, 370 m ascent
- 5K loop, 210 m ascent
Two dogs per runner are allowed on the majority of the course; some sections are narrower and the final descent is relatively steep. Dogs must run on a suitable harness. Harnesses are available to borrow from Non Stop Dog Wear. Runners may also enter without a dog. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
