Event overview
Lakeland Paws: Dogs @ Dodd Double Header is a canicross-style event held on 9 May 2026 at Dodd Wood (Ca124Qe). It is the first event of a double-header weekend and part of the finale weekend of the fourth season of Lakeland Paws. Runners may compete with or without dogs. The event is chip timed and the course will be marked; GPX files are available.
Course and format
Courses use a mix of forest roads and trails. Individual starts are used so each athlete and dog has space at the start. Because most of the route is on wide trails, two dogs per runner are permitted, but there are some narrower sections and the final descent is relatively steep, so runners should manage pace accordingly. Dogs must be run on a suitable harness; harnesses are available to borrow from Non Stop Dog Wear.
Distances
- 8K loop, 370 m ascent
- 5K, 210 m ascent
