About the race
Lakeland Paws: Dogs @ Dodd Double Header is a canicross race held at Dodd Wood in the Lake District. The day features two fully marked forest routes: an 8K loop with about 370 meters of ascent and a shorter 5K option with around 210 meters of climbing. Runners navigate forest roads and trails with stunning views across Bassenthwaite Lake to the Northern Fells.
The course uses wide trails and allows two dogs per runner, though some narrow sections and a steep final descent require careful pacing.
