Lakeland Trails Helvellyn

Lakeland Trails in Helvellyn is a trail running event based in Glenridding on the shores of Ullswater. Routes run on well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways into the foothills of Helvellyn, passing through ancient woodlands and offering elevated views of Ullswater and surrounding peaks. Underfoot conditions are generally good for those used to off road running but can be tricky in places.

In ear headphones are not allowed; bone conductor headphones are permitted.

Event services at the venue include registration and baggage storage, multiple village car parks with a paid overflow car park at King George V Fields, free shuttle buses for some 15k participants, public transport access via the Stagecoach 508 bus, on-site medical cover, event commentary, food and drink stalls, demo kit and traders, and a mountain rescue presence. Race numbers are issued at registration on the day. Prizes are awarded in Open and Veteran categories for the 10k and 15k race; the 15k Challenge is not eligible for prizes.
