The event features significant elevation gain and takes place on several well-known routes in the Tahoe area.
Participants may encounter trails such as the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT), Flume Trail, and Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). The courses also reach various local peaks including Donner Peak and Marlette Peak. Each day offers two distance options to allow for flexibility based on individual performance.
- Long Option: Approximately 26 miles per day.
- Short Option: Approximately 15 miles per day.
- Cumulative Distance: Total mileage for the festival can reach 60-70 miles over the three days.
The event is all-inclusive and provides four nights of lodging at a headquarters located on the lake. Catered meals, recovery services such as yoga and massage, and finisher medals are included in the registration. Organizers provide daily shuttles to transport athletes between the headquarters and the start and finish lines of each trail. Lake Tahoe is located approximately one hour from Reno and three hours from San Francisco. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
