Carson Valley Trails Run the Valley 5k, 10k and Family 2k
This trail event at James Lee Memorial Park in Carson City, Nevada, offers three distances and uses recently developed CVTA trail networks. Registration for the 5k and 10k includes a one-year Carson Valley Trails Association membership at no additional cost; current members receive a $10 discount code sent separately. The 5k and 10k entry fee is $35 and the family 2k is free.
Distances offered:
- 10k (6 miles): loop from James Lee Park with a 0.25 mile single-track climb.
- 5k (about 3.55 miles): loop from James Lee Park with a 0.25 mile single-track climb.
- 2k family run: crushed granite path and single-track sections; off-road strollers and leashed dogs welcome.
Tech shirts are provided for all 5k and 10k finishers. Registrations completed before August 31 receive event shirts; 2k participants may purchase a shirt as an add-on before that date. Children under 12 in the 2k receive a kid's finisher medal.
Race bib pick up is available on site on race morning. Free parking is available in the lots at James Lee Memorial Park. Weather in the area can be variable; participants are advised to dress in layers and for warmth. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
