The course is a looped singletrack of about 2.5K (approximately 1.57 miles) that passes through boulder fields, sage brush, and remnants of an avocado orchard. Each lap includes over 335 feet of climbing and a single, well stocked aid station that runners pass each lap. Volunteers assist with parking and bib pickup on race morning. The loop format keeps runners close to support and allows competitors to adjust pacing and strategy as the event progresses.
