‘A Charlie Brown Christmas 5K/10K’ (San Diego, CA)
The event takes place on Saturday, December 20th at Kit Carson Park, 3333 Bear Valley Pkwy, Escondido, CA. It offers multiple participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 10K Run/Walk (6.2 miles)
- Snoopy Dash - kids 12 and under, untimed
- At-Home Virtual Edition (3.1 or 6.2 miles)
Registration is limited to 2,500 participants. Official registration packets include a participant bib, a performance tech t-shirt, and a finisher medal. 5K/10K bibs contain an RFID tag for course tracking. The event is an officially licensed Peanuts event and lists Make-A-Wish as its charitable partner; a portion of proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish.
Logistics and rules
Packet pickup is listed at Road Runner Sports, 5549 Copley Drive, San Diego, on Thursday, December 18th (10am - 7pm). Kit Carson Park and an adjacent mall provide parking, including accessible parking. There will be no event-day gear check. Start and finish are under an inflatable arch in the park staging area. Mile markers appear at each mile, and water is available at two locations on the route plus at the start/finish. A medic will be on-site. Strollers and walkers are allowed but should start in the back of the corral and stay to the right; all participants must finish within a 120 minute timeframe.
