Lake Easton Walk and Bike
This event on October 10, 2026 takes place at Lake Easton State Park, 150 Lake Easton State Park Road, Easton, WA 98925. The offering includes both walking and biking options around Lake Easton on a mix of park trails, road shoulders, sidewalks, and the Palouse to Cascades rail trail.

The walk follows a circuit that begins on park trails that can be narrow and have some roots but are basically flat. Participants exit the park, pass through the small commercial district of Easton using a wide road shoulder and sidewalks, then join the Palouse to Cascades rail trail on the east side of the lake. The rail trail section loops around Lake Easton, passes through a short tunnel (lights not required) and over a bridge before returning to the state park. The 5 km route goes the opposite direction around the circuit to the bridge and back.
The bike option uses the Palouse to Cascades rails-to-trails path, a dedicated trail with no motor traffic though walkers may be encountered. Riders go about one mile from the start on park roads and a wide dirt forest trail to reach the rails-to-trails. The trail surface is dirt and gravel, grades increase toward Snoqualmie Pass, and thin racing tires are not recommended. Trail rating varies from 1B to 2B depending on the section biked.
Parking requires a Discover Pass or a $10 day pass to park in the state park. Dogs are allowed on leash and must be cleaned up after. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
