Lake Como Day 5k
Lake Como Day 5k is a community road race held in Lake Como, New Jersey, with the race route running along local streets and around Lake Como. The event is presented by the Borough of Lake Como and the Jersey Shore Running Club and is hosted at Joe's Surf Shack, 415 18th Ave. Proceeds benefit Lake Como Youth Recreation Programs and Youth Facilities.
Registration pricing is tiered: an early bird online rate of $30 through July 31, a pre-registration rate of $35 from August 1 through September 18, and a $40 in-person race day fee. Jersey Shore Running Club members receive a 10% discount during the early bird period. Race day activities include late registration plus T shirt and bib pick up, the 5k run, and an award ceremony. After the race there is a post race celebration at Joe's Surf Shack.
Awards are presented in multiple categories with no duplicate awards and no mailings. Awards include overall top three male and female, top male and female Lake Como full time resident, and age group awards for males and females in these bands 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
