Course and rules
Swims use clockwise triangular laps and are patrolled by a motorized boat and lifeguard volunteers. Swim caps provided must be worn and athletes must start in their assigned heat. The bike course is multiple laps on roads open to traffic; riders must follow traffic laws, wear an approved helmet, and avoid drafting and audio devices. The run route uses sidewalks and local park loops with volunteers directing crossings. Two aid stations are provided on the run.
Logistics and requirements
All participants must hold current Triathlon Alberta membership or purchase a one event day membership for 20 CAD; annual members must present proof at packet pickup. Wetsuit rules specify mandatory, permitted, or banned use based on measured water temperature and the swim may be canceled under a low temperature threshold. Finishers receive a medal and there are no age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
