Run for Life 2026 : Calgary
Run for Life 2026 is organized by CMHA Alberta and the Centre for Suicide Prevention. The event runs from September 6 to 13, 2026 and is the ninth annual Run for Life. It is presented as a hybrid event that includes a Calgary signature gathering, in-person pop-up events across Canada, and virtual participation from any location.
Participants may engage through running, walking, biking, yoga, pickleball, or other physical activities. The Calgary signature gathering is located at North Glenmore Park, beginning at the Weaselhead parking area, and features a welcome tent, a memorial walk, and a casual 5K course. Complimentary water and post-event snacks are provided, and dog treats are available for canine participants.
Registration details and logistics: the published registration fee is CA$23.56 inclusive of mandatory charges. An optional race kit is available for CA$10 and can be picked up at the Kahanoff Centre lobby in Calgary or at the Calgary pop-up event. Team registrations of four or more participants registered together receive a 25% discount.
The event supports fundraising for suicide prevention; fundraising goals and current amounts are tracked. Names and photos submitted by August 22 will be included in the event commemoration video. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
