Calgary Women's Run - North Glenmore Park
The Calgary Women's Run takes place on August 23, 2026, at North Glenmore Park on the field across from the Calgary Canoe & Rowing Clubs. This is the 48th running of the event, which is for women and girls only, including those who identify as such. Participation is capped at 300 entrants.
The volunteer-led event emphasizes community and women supporting women. Distances offered:
- 5 km run/walk
- 10 km run
Categories include individual, mother and daughter teams (5 km or 10 km), and sisterhood teams (5 km or 10 km).
Entry fees start at $53. Race package pickup is scheduled the day before at The Tech Shop Northwest; race-day pickup is available by request for out-of-town participants.
On-site awards recognize top overall finishers and team winners, with youngest and oldest participant acknowledgements; age-group winners are posted online after the event. All participants receive post-race treats and a curated swag bag.
Course maps for both the 5 km and 10 km routes are published. The 2026 charity partner is Made by Momma, a Calgary grassroots charity that supports families with meals, essentials, and volunteer-driven care.
The run began in 1979 as part of a national series and has a long history of encouraging women to participate in road running. Over time sponsorships and directorship have changed, and the event has maintained partnerships with local organisations such as Tech Shop and Calgary Roadrunners Club.
