2nd Annual Lafayette Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K : Moncus Park
The event takes place on October 4, 2026 at Moncus Park in Lafayette, Louisiana, in celebration of World Ostomy Day. Proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; donations are tax deductible.
The day is described as family friendly and includes local vendors, food, music, and activities for children. Packet pick-up schedules will be posted closer to the event. The official race course is to be announced.

- 5K run/walk for open and ostomate participants.
- Kid's Fun Run for children ages 12 and under.

Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female overall finishers and to the top male and female ostomates. Race registration bags will contain sponsor materials and ostomy education items; ostomy pouches will be provided by sponsors and non-ostomate participants may wear a pouch during the event to increase awareness.
Fundraising options include a refund of the registration fee for participants who raise at least $150 and tiered fundraising recognition at higher levels.
