Lady of the Lake is a timed loop race held at Vogel State Park on a one mile trail loop around Lake Trahlyta at the base of Coosa and Blood mountains. Participants may run in either the 8 hour or 4 hour division and complete as many laps as they choose within the chosen time limit. The trail surface is mostly hard pack pea gravel with some single track and a short paved section; the terrain is described as gently rolling and runnable.
Distances

An aid station at the start and finish provides standard aid station food items and beverages including water, Gatorade, and Coke; the event is cupless so runners should carry their own bottle or hydration pack. Race entry includes a jacket and a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in both the 4 hour and 8 hour divisions based on the number of complete laps; partial laps do not count.
Additional notes include a raffle to select ten runners (five men and five women) to represent Revolution Running in the following racing year; eligibility requires registration and participation in this event. A full refund is available until three months before the race. Lodging options listed include Vogel State Park cabins and camping, Blood Mountain Cabins, and Relaxing in Blue Ridge. Registration closes November 11. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
