Event Overview
The Lady of the Lake is an 8th annual timed running event with 4-hour and 8-hour divisions. Participants run laps on a 1-mile trail loop around Lake Trahlyta within Vogel State Park, located at the base of Coosa and Blood Mountains. Runners can complete as many laps as they wish within their chosen time limit.
Course Details
The course is a gently rolling loop consisting of hard-packed pea gravel, some single-track trail, and a very short paved section. The event is a cupless race; participants are asked to carry their own water bottle or hydration pack. An aid station at the start/finish will provide typical foods like bananas, oranges, cookies, chips, candy, PB&J, and grilled cheese, as well as water, Gatorade, and Coke.
Awards and Amenities
Race entry includes a jacket and a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female runners who complete the most full laps in both the 4-hour and 8-hour divisions; partial laps do not count. A raffle will be held at the event for ten spots (five men, five women) on the Revolution Running Team for the 2027 race year. To enter the raffle, a runner must be registered and participate in the 4-hour or 8-hour race.
