Duncan Ridge Trail - November 21, 2026
The Duncan Ridge Trail event offers two trail distances starting and finishing at Lake Trahlyta in Vogel State Park, Blairsville, GA. The 50K route follows the Coosa Backcountry Trail north, connects with the Duncan Ridge Trail toward Coosa Bald, and is an out-and-back that turns at Fish Gap at FS Road 88 (about mile 15.5). The 30K follows the Coosa Backcountry Trail and the Duncan Ridge Trail to White Oak Stomp, then turns onto FS 39 at AS#2 and returns via Wolf Pen Gap and the Coosa Backcountry Trail. All running is on trails except for a quarter mile of paved park road.
The 50K includes more than 10,000 feet of elevation gain. The finish line for both distances is the bridge leading to shelter #1 under the Duncan Ridge banner. The course has a 10 hour limit and enforces cut-offs at specific aid stations; runners who do not meet those cut-offs cannot continue.
Aid stations are numbered AS#1 through AS#7 and are stocked with water, sports drink, and typical trail-race snacks. All proceeds from the event are returned to the park volunteers every year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
