Long Beach Labor Day Run
The inaugural Labor of Love - Merging Forces Run takes place in Long Beach on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Shoreline Aquatic Park and Shoreline Village near the lighthouse. The event offers three distances and a community-oriented finish area.
The course follows the waterfront and the beach path through Shoreline Village. The route is described as flat and scenic. Race services include professional chip timing, instant results powered by ChronoTrack, free race day photos, and multiple on-course water stations. The finish area will feature vendors, music, and a festival atmosphere.
The event is hosted in partnership with Merge Opportunities, a nonprofit that provides job training, mentorship, and support services to underserved youth, system-impacted individuals, and transitioning foster youth.
Distances and fees:
- Kids Dash (400 yards), registration fee $15
- 5K (3.1 miles), registration fee $35
- 10K (6.2 miles), registration fee $40
