Run in the New Year - Long Beach
The Run in the New Year event on January 2, 2027 takes place in Long Beach, California at 5400 E Ocean Blvd, with the start and finish located at a marked blue arch. The event offers running and walking options across multiple distances and provides course markings and support.
Available distances include:
- 5K out-and-back route.
- 10K two 5K loops.
- 15K three 5K loops.
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops.
Course routing is marked with cones, chalk, and signs at each turnaround point. Running or walking with a stroller is permitted. The half marathon carries a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; an early start may be available on request to the organizer.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal for all finishers, drawstring goodie bags, post-race snacks and samples, free event videos, live results at the finish, post-race photos linked to bib numbers, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, and access to the event app and Ascend features for tracking races and results. Group discounts are available and some group discounts are auto-applied through Race Ascend.
