Hot Pursuit 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon : Long Beach Shoreline Path
The Hot Pursuit races take place on the Long Beach Shoreline Path in Belmont Shores on September 26, 2026. The course is an open beach-path route with marked out-and-back loops; participants should be courteous to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists. An aid station at the turnaround near the start and finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and gel packets.
Distances include:
- 5k out and back loop on the beach path.
- 10k two 5k loops.
- 15k three 5k loops.
- Half Marathon three 4.36 mile loops.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, drawstring goodie bag, free event videos, live results at finish, and free photos associated with bib numbers. Additional offerings listed by the organizer include cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking and Ascend Crew features, a free app for race tracking, and an assortment of snacks and samples. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit. Transfers are allowed by contacting the organizer and there is a no refund policy. Race day registration accepts several payment methods and separate race day fees apply. Parking is available in nearby residential areas and a paid beach lot is also nearby.
