La Noche de las Brujas Run
La Noche de las Brujas Run is a night running event taking place in Long Beach, California, as part of the SummerWeen Series. The race is held along the Long Beach shoreline at 5400 E Ocean Blvd. The event atmosphere features glowing lights, music from a DJ, and a theme centered around culture and mystery. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, such as brujas, spirits, and other night creatures, for a scheduled costume contest.
The event offers several race distances:
- 1 Mile
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The course consists of a flat beach path along the coastline. The 5K is a single loop, while the 10K follows two out-and-back segments. The Half Marathon is comprised of three 4.36-mile loops. Glowing markers and moody lighting define the path as the sun sets.
The race utilizes professional chip timing, with results provided via ChronoTrack. Participants receive finisher medals and access to race-day photos at no additional cost. Awards are presented for overall performance as well as within specific age groups. Multiple water stations are located along the route to support those taking part. All paces are welcome, including walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
