La Vista Loop One Mile Fun Run
The La Vista Loop is a community one mile timed run held in La Vista at Nines Plaza and Central Park on Saturday, September 12. The event is described as family friendly and takes place through the heart of the community. Awards are presented immediately after the final finisher.
Family-friendly activities are scheduled the morning of the event and include a bounce house, sno cones, a coffee truck, chalk art, and access to the Nines Plaza slides. Strollers and well-behaved dogs on leashes are permitted.
Registration opens June 1. There are two registration fee options: $15 with a commemorative T-shirt and $5 without a shirt. The T-shirt deadline is August 27 to guarantee a shirt. The registration deadline is September 11 at 8 p.m. Packet pick-up is available at the Community Center on Friday, September 11 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on race morning at Nines Plaza beginning at 7 a.m.
Race logistics note that participants will be timed and must wear the assigned bib on the front of the body. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners and to first, second, and third place male and female finishers in each age category. Age groups include 0–5, 6–11, 12–15, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
