Event Overview
The Rally for Life is a 5K run and walk held at Werner Park in Papillion, Nebraska. This event brings together donor families, transplant recipients, living donors, and supporters to raise awareness for organ, tissue, and eye donation. The gathering focuses on supporting the many individuals in need of lifesaving transplants while celebrating the heroes within the donation and transplantation community.
Distance and Participation
- 5K: A timed run or walk for individuals and teams.
Participants can enter the event as individuals or form teams with friends and family. The event features a family-friendly environment including a dedicated Family Fun Zone with activities for children. Registration includes an event t-shirt, official race timing for 5K participants, and post-event snacks and drinks.
Custom Commemorations and Awards
Participants have the option to purchase custom-printed hero signs and personalized buttons during registration. These items feature the names and photos of donors or recipients and can be displayed during the rally before being taken home.
Awards are presented across multiple categories, including:
- Top three overall male and female finishers.
- Age group awards ranging from 19 and under to 60 and over.
- Specific categories for recipients and living donors.
- Honors for the fastest team, the largest team, and the best t-shirt design.
