28th Annual UCC Coffee Kona Marathon
The Kona Marathon takes place in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, on July 4, 2026. This edition marks the 28th anniversary of the event and coincides with the 250th anniversary of American Independence. The event features several race distances to accommodate different preferences:
- Kona Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Kona Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Kona Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles)
- Kona 5K (3.1 miles)
Participants receive a finisher medal and snacks upon completing their respective distances. The event includes a race pace team to assist runners during the competition.
The race environment is integrated into local festivities. After completing the run, participants can view a parade through the Historic Kailua Village and a fireworks display over Kailua Bay.
