To be guaranteed a race shirt size, registration must be completed by March 14, 2026.
Course and logistics
Courses run largely on moderately technical dirt trails and fire roads, including single-track along the American River, the historic Western States trail to No Hands Bridge, the K2 training hill, and the Dam Hill switchbacks. Courses are marked with colored surveyor ribbon approximately every 200 meters; blue ribbons mark wrong-way trails. Aid stations provide a variety of food and drinks but no paper cups - this is a cupless event. Runners are advised to carry at least one 20 oz bottle or a reusable cup; reusable cups will be available for purchase at the event. Dogs are allowed on leash; runners with dogs must start from the back of the pack. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
