Event Details
The 2026 Kiss My Asphalt is a running event with multiple distances: a kids 1 mile, a 5 km, and a 10 km. The event takes place on February 15 at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
The Courses
All courses use a paved path that runs alongside the Rappahannock River. The route has a few small hills. The 5 km is an out-and-back course. The 10 km consists of running the 5 km course twice.
Registration & Inclusions
Registration fees are listed by distance, with lower prices available until January 31. The price increases on race morning. Participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered before February 4; after that, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Event Features
The event has a stoplight-style theme, where participants are encouraged to wear colored shirts: red for "taken," green for "single," or yellow for "it's complicated." Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual run option is available for those who cannot attend on race day.
Race results are posted live online and via a QR code at the event. Runner tracking via SMS is available during registration. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, plus first and second place in multiple age categories.
Logistics
Packet pickup and race day registration are available at the event. Participants are advised to arrive one hour before their event start time. There are water stations along the courses, some offering Gatorade. Restrooms are located near the parking lot. Parking is available within Old Mill Park.
The event supports the charity Bobbie’s Pit Bull Rescue and Sanctuary. Participant results earn points towards the organizer's Year-Long and Winter series, including a "Back of the Pack" series for slower paces. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
