Kirkbride Half Marathon
The Kirkbride Half Marathon is scheduled for June 27th, 2027 in Kirkbride, Wigton, Cumbria. Race headquarters are at The White Heather Hotel on the Old Airfield, with ample on site parking. The race starts close to The White Heather Hotel and finishes at the hotel.
The course is an officially measured and certified route with measurement number 24/320. It runs on quiet country roads and is described as very flat. The route comprises two loops: a shorter loop of about 5.3 miles through Kirkbride and Newton Arlosh, followed by a longer loop of about 7.8 miles that returns to the finish at The White Heather Hotel.
Facilities at the event include male and female toilets and a baggage lay down area. Race numbers and timing chips are issued at race registration. A race safety briefing will be held on race day and a full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at event headquarters.
Aid stations are positioned at approximately 3 miles, 5.5 miles and 9 miles with water provided in cups and bottles. Live results will be published online. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to age group winners with prize distribution and payment handled after the race.
