Event overview
The Killin 10K & 5K takes place in Killin, Perthshire on Saturday 22 August 2026. The event includes road races and a short fun run set around local landmarks such as Loch Tay. Medals are given to all finishers and medical provision is available across the route.
Distances
- 10K - 9.7 km tarmac, 0.3 km grass; water at 2.75, 5.75 and 8.85 km.
- 5K - 4 km tarmac, 1 km grass; water at 2.4 km.
- Fun Run (1K) - children’s distance; aimed at younger participants.
Entry, categories and prizes
Entry fees are listed as: 10K £26, 5K £19, Fun Run £7. Age limits are 15+ for the 10K, 12+ for the 5K, and 5 to 12 for the fun run (children under 5 may participate with adult supervision). Entries use four gender categories: male, female, non-binary and other. Top-3 prizes in each gender category require a minimum of five participants in that category; some age-group and local-category prizes require a minimum of three participants.
Logistics, timing and policies
Electronic chip timing is used; timing chips and race numbers are posted about two weeks before the event, with on-day collection for late registrants. There is no cut-off time; participants may be asked to stop only for health or safety reasons. Facilities include free parking, toilets, changing rooms, showers, baggage drop, and food and drink in the local hall.
