Killin 10K & 5K - Event overview
The Killin 10K & 5K takes place in Killin, Perthshire on Saturday 22 August 2026. The event includes three distance options:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1K fun run
Entry fees are listed as £26 for the 10K, £19 for the 5K and £7 for the fun run. Age limits are: 10K from 15 years, 5K from 12 years, fun run for children 5 to 12 years (children under 5 may run with an adult; children over 12 can run but are not eligible for fun run prizes). Four gender entry categories are available: male, female, non-binary and other. Prize awards require minimum numbers in each category; age-group and local categories apply in the 10K with specific minimums for prize eligibility.
Course, services and rules
The 10K route is mostly on tarmac (9.7 km) with 0.3 km on grass or compacted path; the 5K has about 4 km on tarmac and 1 km on grass or compacted path. Water stations: three on the 10K and one on the 5K at specified kilometre points. The route is fully marked with large yellow signs and staffed by marshals and medical personnel. Chip timing is used for the 10K and 5K, with race numbers and chips posted before the event or collected on the day for late entries. All finishers receive a medal. Facilities include parking, toilets, changing and shower rooms, baggage drop and first aid. Dogs are not permitted to participate with runners.
