Simon Wake Comrie Hills Relay

The Simon Wake Comrie Hills Relay is a team relay covering 43 km with 1,733 m of total ascent, run in four stages that start and finish in Comrie village. The route runs up and around the hills on either side of Glen Lednock and uses a mix of mountain and trail terrain.

Legs 2 and 3 traverse rough mountain ground. Legs 1 and 4 are closer to trail races in character. Leg 1 is fully waymarked and Leg 4 is partially waymarked. Organisers will also mark a short section of Leg 3 across a featureless moor prior to CP6 to reduce the risk of lost runners.

The event is scheduled for Saturday 29 August 2026. Prizes are awarded to winning teams in open and women's categories, to the first mixed team, to veterans in the V40 categories, and to individual leg winners in open and female classes. A raffle will be held on race day with tickets priced at £1.

The race is supported by local sponsors and by landowners who grant permission for the route across Glen Lednock. Surplus proceeds from recent editions are allocated to support junior hill running initiatives in Scotland and the costs of the organising club's junior section.
