Simon Wake Comrie Hills Relay

The Simon Wake Comrie Hills Relay is a team hill running relay that starts and finishes in Comrie village. The full route is approximately 43 km with 1,733 m of total ascent and is run in four stages around the hills on either side of Glen Lednock.

Teams consist of five runners, with two runners completing leg 2 together. Legs 2 and 3 traverse rough mountain terrain, while legs 1 and 4 are closer to trail race conditions. Leg 1 is fully waymarked and leg 4 is partially waymarked. A small section of leg 3 across a featureless moor prior to CP6 will also be marked to reduce the risk of lost runners.

The event includes competitive prizes for overall team winners in open and women categories, the first mixed team (must include two or three women), veteran categories (Open V40 and Female V40) and individual leg winners for open and female competitors. A raffle is held on race day, with tickets priced at £1 each.

Organisers acknowledge support from local sponsors and the landowners in Glen Lednock who permit use of their land. From 2025, any surplus proceeds from the race are allocated to junior hill running initiatives in Scotland and to support Strathearn Harriers’ junior section. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
