Run Scotland Rannoch Marathon 2027
The event is a road marathon held in Kinloch Rannoch on 10 October 2027. The course runs along the north and south shores of Loch Rannoch and is described as undulating on paved roads. The route is accurately measured and will use chip timing provided by Timing4Sport. Roads are closed for the race.
Entry is limited to 58 places. Affiliated entry fee is £33 and unaffiliated entry fee is £35; entries close on 9 October 2027. An early bird offer reduces the fee by £7 for the first 50 entrants. Race T-shirts are optional and cost an additional £15.
Event headquarters and registration are at Weller Poley Park in Kinloch Rannoch, where bag drop and parking are available. Toilets are provided on course and at the finish. Water stations are placed every 3 miles and distance markers appear every mile. First aid and refreshments are provided.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal, snacks and a bottle of water. Individual prizes are awarded to the first three men and women overall with trophies and vouchers for top places. Team prizes are awarded to UKA affiliated clubs based on the positions of the first three club runners. The race was revived by Run Nation in 2015 and has historical ties to the Scottish Marathon Championships in the 1980s. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
