Event overview
Glen Ogle 33 is an ultramarathon scheduled for 1 November 2025 in Perthshire. The event distance is 33 miles with approximately 3,000 ft of elevation. The race starts and finishes in Killin, with registration at McLaren Hall, Main Street, Killin. Entry fees listed are £61 (discount) and £63 (standard). The organiser limits places to 400 and published a refund schedule with a 30-day cooling-off administration fee and reduced refunds before the event.
Route, checkpoints and requirements
The route follows parts of National Cycle Route No 7 and the Rob Roy Way from Killin to Strathyre and back. Key landmarks include the Falls of Dochert, Glen Ogle Viaduct, Balquhidder and the Shoogly Bridge. Checkpoints and water stations are located at roughly miles 5, 10, 16 (halfway, drop bag allowed), 25 and 29, with the finish at about 33 miles. There are three road crossings, two at the top of Glen Ogle and one at Strathyre; runners must follow marshal instructions and remove earphones at crossings and on certain road sections.
Mandatory kit must be carried and includes a full-size foil blanket, a working mobile phone with race control number, trail food, means to carry water, and a small first aid kit. Weather in November can be severe; waterproofs, hat and gloves are recommended. Runners must meet the published cut-off at the top of Glen Ogle and follow race rules on medical, support and conduct.
