Event overview
The Altra Kielder Marathon Weekend is a multi-event running weekend at Kielder Forest Park, Hexham NE48 1BT. The weekend is scheduled for 3rd to 4th October 2026 and takes place around Kielder Water, described in the event text as northern Europe’s largest man-made lake. The main marathon follows an almost entirely off-road route around the lake.

Facilities and prizes
Finishers receive a medal and a goody bag. The event provides a free Park & Ride system for runners and offers spectator passes with shuttle buses to vantage points. There is a secure baggage drop, local produce and refreshments available, and prizes for the top three male and female finishers plus first in V40, V50 and V60 categories.
