Overview
The Altra Kielder Marathon Weekend is a two-day running and multisport event held at Kielder Forest Park in Northumberland. The 2025 edition is the 15th running of the event. The main marathon route is an almost entirely off-road course that circles Kielder Water, described in the event information as northern Europe’s largest man-made lake. The weekend programme combines a 10K and Gravel Duathlon on the first day with the half marathon, junior races and the marathon on the second day.

Entry fees listed for 2025 include: marathon £42 (affiliated) / £44 (unaffiliated); half marathon £37 / £39; 10K £25.50 / £27.50; gravel duathlon £60 individual / £83 team; junior races £8. Age restrictions apply for some races: marathon 18+, half marathon 17+, 10K 15+, gravel duathlon 18+ (team entries from 16+), junior races for specified birth years.
Facilities and services noted by the organiser include a medal and goody bag for finishers, a free park and ride system for runners (spectator passes available), secure baggage drop, local produce and refreshments, and prizes for the top three male and female finishers plus first in V40, V50 and V60 age categories.
